  • Ian and Hope Update
Apparently, in reading the blog - we haven't said much about Hope or Ian lately. Here's what comes to mind about both:

    Ian Reagen
    • At school, he's meeting with a 4th grader to challenge his math skills
    • He came in 5th place out of about 50 at the Cub Scouts pinewood derby
    • He seems like he's about 5 years older than all the boys in his classroom
    • He's learning how to use a soldering iron
    • He's built two models with glue and paint and done a fantastic job
    Hope Reagen
    • Learned how to ride a bike last fall
    • Looks like a "girl" now instead of a little girl
    • Still clings to her Mom as much as possible
    • Still is happy and outgoing as ever
    • Loves her dance class
That's what we have for now!

  • Cam Quote
Cam’s been really whining about wanting an iPad the last two days. We’ve had to explain to him that we could buy an iPad if we wanted, but are choosing not to. This really makes him mad. (what an important lesson on fiscal responsibility!) Erin last night was explaining again that we are choosing to spend our money on other important things, and in exasperation he said “what, like a candy machine”??

  • Cam Update
OK, it's fairly pathetic that we haven't had a blog post in about a year. If you're reading this, thanks for staying with us - otherwise - this is good to post just so it is remembered:

Starting yesterday, Cam has decided that he’d like to stay all day at school instead of half days. We’ll see how long this lasts, but this morning for the first time as well – he didn’t have a hard time at drop off. (which has been the case every other day this year) He just went into the room with no drama. Erin and I are a little emotional today realizing how much our little boy has grown up all of the sudden

  • Quote From Cameron
We took the family out to "Bump City" (in Kansas City) this past weekend. Bump City is full of things for kids to jump on, climb on, slide down, etc. Good stuff. Not surprisingly, Cameron needed to go pee partway through playing there, so Erin took him to the bathroom. So, while in the bathroom, Erin (in sharing her excitement) asked "Are you having fun in there?" "Yeah" Cam said. Erin then asked "What's your favorite thing?". Cam responded "Um ..... the toilet paper."

  • Hope: 3 and a New Bed
Hope is now in her "big girl bed" and we officially don't have any kids in a crib. With no one in diapers either; it's definitely the end of an era. Wow.

  • Two Miles
Cameron is so stubborn. Last weekend he refused to get into the bike carrier so we could all bike home; so I gave him a choice - you can get in or run home. He took me up on the challenge and ran the two miles home while we biked. He wasn't even tired! Erin and I were shocked; and a little proud of our stubborn runner. :-)

  • Boo-Doo!
That's Cameron's swear word. When he's really mad, he'll either just yell it out - or even worse at you.
