39 Weeks and Healthy

Erin had a great 39 week visit - everyone's "numbers" looked great! Erin, of course, is ready to go into labor. Anytime now.... anytime.....

Healthy Baby!

We had an ultrasound today (at 38 weeks) and everything looks great! Everything about the baby and Erin looked good; so it's a nice confirmation of our plans to have a healthy baby. :-)

Concert Review: Smashing Pumpkins

Here's my brothers review of the Smashing Pumpkins concert in Minneapolis this week. I found it both educational and informative. ;-)

First, there was some good. Awesome stage and light set up, probably 2nd coolest I’ve ever seen. And they had cool outfits. Now the bad.

They were very lackluster, they barely moved on stage. The 2 new members looked like they just found them in Schmidt music. I own 3 of their albums (their hit ones) and I only recognized about 10% of the songs they played, and they didn’t play all their hits. Their new songs are mindless and identical, and Billy would just randomly shout stuff that you couldn’t understand. Then the really bad.

About an hour of the show was just them screwing around, not even playing a song. I hate that. I even hated it when Led Zeppelin did it. That is, and never was, cool. And, they basically forced 3 encores, which after the first people were already leaving. You get one encore. Mozart didn’t get 3. It sucked.

Ok, I’m done

Success!

Ian has done it! He finally did it! After over a year and several months, we have both #1 and #2 in the toilet. I think he held his pee for about 18 hours, so when he finally went this afternoon - it was a waterfall. For whatever reason, after some convincing - he also decided to go #2 as well.

Like it was no big deal! We wrapped up, did something else and he came back to get rid of the rest of the poop he's been holding for the last couple of days. This is great!

This all after a conversation this morning:

Ian: Mom, are you going to buy me more pull-ups?
Erin: No, Ian - you don't need them anymore
Ian: Well, then I'm walking to Target then!
