Things Are Changin'

Something has definitely changed with Cameron, because the last three days he's been absolutely wonderful. He cries only when he needs something, has extended periods of being awake AND happy, doesn't cry nearly as much in the car, is smiling a lot, gaining a bunch of weight and still sleeping well at night. If he stays like this, our lives will be completely different. Wow. I hope this is a good sign. We've been able to do so much more, get out of the house, and just enjoy the ouside world. Thanks Cameron! The last three days have been great. :-)

New Photo Page

New photo page for the boys. I'm quite excited about it!

Ian's on a Roll

Well, first the adventureland trip - and now we're on a roll. We've been quite active lately. Ian got to ride in his first canoe/water-borne-vessel on Monday and then went to the state fair on Monday night. Had a corn dog, saw LOTS of large farm animals up close and personal, rode a ferris wheel, saw Dad get ONE throw away from winning a life-size Bart Simpson at the Midway (great Carnie), and more. (whew - run-on-sentence!). It's been great to watch his expressions as he experiences all of these new things.

Adventureland!

Ian and I went to Adventureland (local DM amusement partk) on Friday - and Ian had many "firsts" there. He rode bumper cars, went on the gondola, rode on the "balloons", an underground roller coaster, a water-rafting ride and more. I couldn't believe it - he wasn't scared on any of the rides, just wide-eyed and very attentive. It was awesome and a wonderful experience to be there with him. I think he had a great time and it reminded me of going to the amusement park with my Dad when I was a kid. Great stuff and good memories. :-) I just can't believe they let such a little person ride on such big rides.

It's all about the tools

We've been reminded just how much baby "tools" can help. Cameron has really taken to the baby sling the past week and it's amazing how much a pacifier really can pacify in crucial moments. Neither worked at all for Ian, but that's how it goes. Cameron had a good day today, so all seems better - for now! :-)

The Fog

We all still remain somewhat in a dense fog due to our youngest crying a lot - especially at night. Things are getting better, but we all certainly feel a little discombobulated.
